Welcome to my Web Site. As your 5th Grade teacher this year I thought you would like to know
a little about me. I just recently graduated from Louisiana State University and I am looking forward
to spending my first year of teaching with you.
I have been married for seventeen years to my wonderful husband Tom. We have two sons (teenagers!!)
We have several pets at my house and I hope to bring some of them to school. There is Tootie our cock-a-poo (dog), Geck
the Leopard Gecko (really cool!), Spaz the albino corn snake, and Herminia the rat!
I enjoy camping, fishing, hiking, reading, yoga, and Karate.
I especially love learning new things. Learning never ends!
My classroom rule is a pretty simple one to remember!
I will respect myself and others at all times!
As a class we can discuss different ways that we can follow this rule.
Remember, I am your biggest fan! I want you to be successful this year and have fun along
the way. Let's work together!

What's New?
We will be spending the next few weeks learning about healthy habits like eating right and staying active.
We will spend some time learning about different plant foods as well! You may be surprised at how many
there are.
We will be finishing off our unit on Healthy eating by have a cultural feast. So get ready, and be thinking about
what you can bring.
